To Life

I am brought back to where i was
To the flickering smiles and edging tears
To the wits and fits that adorn the head held high
To the self that walls itself in resignation;
Yet this day, i search no more
In communion ends my quest.

A time there was,
when a hollow glance stifled my yearn
But now, i sigh in gratitude
As i meet the hopeless ends
For I am healed, my soul content
I am not lone, am not frozen to death
When the biting cold alienates me
I've been kindled to life
That would take me to you
Beyond life, beyond death.
