Helpless Obstinacy

I waited,
my eyes tickled by the sweep of air,
and watered by the swinging undercurrent;
I lay still,
Even as the door flew back and forth,
to the call of the wind;
breaking the silence.

My wait faded away in the fleeing hours,
and i woke into consciousness;
As i walked out of what stood behind me,
Something caught my eye:
a tiny slice chipped off the walls,
that had screamed silent,
When the wind blew hard, with
the door dancing to its tune,
And i squeezed in bed,
awaiting my respite.
